Code of Cooperation

It's going to take a team effort to make sure we can keep our doors open by staying compliant.  Our staff and crew have been hard at work, making the necessary facility adjustments and preparing the gyms for your return.  But there are some things we need YOU to help us with as well.  Please read our 'CODE OF COOPERATION' in full prior to returning to the gym.  If you have questions, feel free to call or email your local gym location.

FAQs

Got a question? We’re here to help.
  • Are you operating under normal hours?

    M - F

    4am to 11pm

    Sat

  • Do I have to wear a mask at all times?

Per NY State guidelines, yes. Every employee and member has to wear an appropriate face covering at all times. Bandannas, buffs, and gaiters are NOT acceptable face masks for use in gyms. Cloth, handmade masks are acceptable.  If you have a medical condition that does not permit you to use a face mask, a face shield would also be acceptable.

  • Is there a consequence if I don’t wear my mask?

No one is allowed to remove their mask or have it below the nose. Anyone who is not complying with the government mandated rule will be asked to leave immediately.  This is for everyone's safety.  Thank you for your cooperation.

  • Will you be running classes? Are reservations required?

Classes will begin at the earliest on August 31st. Stay tuned on social media and your email inbox for updates.  Once we do begin running classes, reservations will be required due to the mandated capactiy rule.

  • How do I reserve a spot in a class?

    2. Select that club on the website and see the drop down menu and select CLASSES.
    3. Look for the RED Registration Button and click it.
    4. You will be taken to an online class page.  any class with a GREEN ENROLL button is available for registration.
    5. Click the Green ENROLL button.  If you already have a membership login, then please sign in to enroll.  If not, please select  REGISTER.  You will need your membership Agreement number and possibly your barcode.  You can contact the club front desk for this information.

    7. You can watch our How To video here on the site: https://www.uniquehealthandfitness.com/updated-class-information
  • Is the Kids Klub open?

UPDATE 8/27/20- Per NY state guidelines, Kids Klubs at all 3 locations will need to REMAIN CLOSED at this time until further notice. Once we are able to safely re-open the kids klubs, advanced reservations will be required as space is very limited and children count against the overall capacity limitations.

VIP members will not be charged any daily fee for kids klub.  All other members will be required to pay a DAILY, PER CHILD fee for kids klub until further notice.  We will not turn billing on for any members who have Kids Klub attached to their memberships until further notice.

  • How are you handling the 33% capacity rule? Do we need reservations?

Each location has a Maximum Occupancy Count as permitted by law.  They are as follows

    Holbrook: 766 persons

    Shirley: 676 persons

    Farmingville: 610 persons

To calculate our new COVID Compliant capacity, simply take 33% of each of those numbers and you have:

    Holbrook: 253 persons

    Shirley: 223 persons

    Farmingville: 201 persons

Each member will be required to check in AND OUT.  We have installed a capacity counter to our software system which allows us to keep track up to the minute of the total counts in each facility.  Based upon our prior attendnace records, even during Monday nights in January, we were under the capacity loads permitted at any given hour.

While we do anticipate many people returning, we do not anticipate many wait times.  IF the situation arises where a wait is necessary, we will take your name and cell phone number and ask you to wait in your vehicle.  We will call you when it's your turn to enter.  We do not anticipate this need arising, but if it does, your wait time would be minimal.

We are also asking for all members to keep their visits to 90 MINUTES OR LESS to allow everyone an opportunity to workout.

No reservations are required at this time.

  • When will I be charged for my membership?

Although we are re-opening on August 24th, no membership dues will be charged until September 1st, 2020.  We are basically starting over with a new month- so whatever day of the month you used to get billed will be the same date moving forward starting in September.  So if you were last billed on March 6th, you will be billed on September 6th.

If you need to update your payment information due to a credit card expiring or being cancelled, please do so during this upcoming week!

  • How can I cancel my membership if I am not comfortable returning?

Please contact the gym at 631-750-6940 or send an email with your questions to uniquefitnessholbrook@gmail.com and someone will get back to you as quickly as possible.

  • Are you doing guest passes? I want to do the 3 Day Trial

YES! Effective 10/12/2020 we have resumed the use of 3 Day Guest Passes for first time visitors who are local residents.  You must present a valid ID showing a local address to activate that pass.

  • I bought personal training sessions and I don’t want to use them, I want a refund.

We understand.  However, due to the personal training agreement, and current circumstances, we are not issuing refunds for personal training.  If you have a medical condition which prevents you from using them, you may provide us with a doctors note stating the reasons for your inability to workout. Otherwise, you may gift your sessions or sell them to someone else for use and we will transfer them accordingly.  We apologize for any inconvenience but strongly encourage you to make the most out of your remaining Personal Training sessions.

  • Are you accepting new members?

Yes!  We have several membership options available.  Please call the gym in advance and schedule a time to meet with someone to discuss these options.
